Breakfast and More

Getting a good breakfast is an often overlooked aspect of guest accommodation, but we’re proud to say that we’re part of the increasing number of locally owned B&B’s that are giving the first meal of the day our full attention. Our family is full of ‘foodies’ and we pride ourselves on delivering the very highest standards of food.

Breakfast the way you want it….

The mainstay of our selection is of course the classical full English. Our award winning butcher Jacksons provide our delicious dry cured bacon and breakfast chipolatas. Free range eggs from local farms are cooked to perfection however you like them; poached or soft scramble is our recommendation but we’ll let you decide. Buttered speciality toast with preserves will ensure you don’t start your day on the moors feeling hungry.

Alternatively, if the full Yorkshire doesn’t appeal, we can offer a lighter breakfast of fresh baked croissants, or eggs how you like them on toast, or smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, or bagel and cream cheese, or porridge. Our bread is all home made, and you can choose between spelt wholemeal, granary or white.

Vegetarians and vegans aren’t forgotten either, and our veggie sausages are so delicious that even the meat-eaters ask for them! Fruit salad, cereal and yoghurt are of course available.

We take the sourcing of our food very seriously. You will never find danish bacon or caged-hen eggs in any of our food. Where possible, everything we can source is local, and of course, homemade and delicious!

Our breakfasts are made to order, as we like to offer you our local ingredients as fresh as possible. Breakfast in the dining room is between 8.00 am and 9.00 am.

Full fry ups can get a bit too filling after a couple of days so we occassionally offer special breakfasts. Specials are made to order too so choice is the order of the day at Grosmont House.
Breakfast in the dining room is between 8.00 am and 9.00 am. If you require an earlier breakfast please let us know in advance and if you have any special dietary requirements or if there is something you would particularly like to have. We make every effort to source the best quality, locally produced foodstuffs. We source our bacon and sausages from the award winning butchers Jacksons of Ruswarp.

“THE KEY TO A GOOD FULL ENGLISH IS QUALITY INGREDIENTS MADE FROM HAPPY ANIMALS AND COOKED WITH A LITTLE LOVING CARE.“
